John Malkovich and Frances McDormand Join Transformers 3
The first casting news for Transformers 3 is a bit of a head-scratcher: prestige actors John Malkovich (Burn After Reading) and Frances McDormand (Fargo) have signed on.
I guess Michael Bay is trying to emulate the Coen brothers.
McDormand will play one of those boring government roles — national security adviser. Malkovich will play one of Shia LaBeouf’s teachers, and will likely be comic relief, or at least what passes for comic relief in Transformers movies. Think John Turturro.
Ken Jeong (The Hangover, Role Models) has also joined the cast, also in the name of comic relief.
